Aaron Gries
Aaron Gries was the Academic All-America Player of the Year in 1993for the University of Evansville.
Gries was a student and played baseball in high school for Reitz Memorial High School.
Gries played shortstop for the Jim Brownlee and the University of Evansville purple aces. He was a 4 year starter and in 1993 was named Academic All-America Player of the Year while making the team for the second straight season.
Gries was named to the All-Midwestern Collegiate Conference Academic team for the second straight year.
Gries batted .325, stole 23 bases and had a 3.94 grade-point average as a pre-med major.
